Onkyo says the TXSR806 is a mid-range receiver, but the performance is definitely high-end. This receiver is packed with features like five 1080p and 36-bit Deep Color HDMI v1.3a inputs, THX Ultra2Plus certification, THX Loudness Plus, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD decoding, built-in room correction technology, multi-zone capabilities, and dual push-pull amplification. Plus, it delivers 130 watts per channel of pristine sound thanks to Onkyo's superb sound processing and construction methods. I bought the 806 from Vanns to replace my 7 yr old Denon AVR-3300 which is still a great unit. I wanted to get up to date on connections for TVBlueray,HDMI,,, you just have to do that every 5-10 years right Honey. In use 3 weeks now and no negatives. I believe it does out perform my Denon by a fair margin. I think the other reviewer was right, he just got a goofie unit. Hope all goes like mine for his replacement.
