I bought the 806 from Vanns to replace my 7 yr old Denon AVR-3300 which is still a great unit. I wanted to get up to date on connections for TVBlueray,HDMI,,, you just have to do that every 5-10 years right Honey. In use 3 weeks now and no negatives. I believe it does out perform my Denon by a fair margin. I think the other reviewer was right, he just got a goofie unit. Hope all goes like mine for his replacement.
